About T&L

Mission Statement

Theology and Literature is a blog dedicated to conversation around the intersection of the two disciplines, through interpretation and reflection. T&L posts excerpts of books and articles, poems, epigraphs, and authorial quotes, both with and without comments from the blogger.

Guest bloggers are always welcome. All questions can be forwarded to Lauren at laurendeidra@gmail.com.

Questions T&L Hopes to Ask

How do fictional stories shape our theologies?

How can literature help us ask the tough questions of God and other attributes of faith?

Where do we see the Christian life “played out” in literature? In what ways does this make us feel uncomfortable?

Where does literature fail to address theological thought?

How can literature teach us to become the imago Dei?
